Dr. Darin Johnson
Dr. Johnson is an Optometrist serving Minot, ND and surrounding communities.
He has owned and operated Johnson Eyecare and Eyewear since 2007. He is a native of Velva/Karlsruhe, attended college at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and moved on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR where he earned his Doctorate in Optometry in 2005. Dr. Johnson is the current President of the North Dakota Optometric Association. In his spare time, Dr. Johnson likes hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at the lake with his wife and 3 sons.
Dr. Johnson enjoys caring for the patients at Johnson Eyecare & Eyewear and looks forward to the one-on-one interaction involved with solving eye health and vision problems. Dr. Johnson and the entire team at Johnson Eyecare & Eyewear are 100 percent committed to providing first class eye care services.
Dr. Sierra Unruh, OD, FAAO
Dr. Sierra Unruh joined our team in October 2017. She is a Bismarck ND native and a 2010 graduate of the University of North Dakota and 2015 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. While attending graduate school, she participated in a mission trip providing eye care in Guatemala. After receiving her doctorate in Optometry, Dr. Unruh furthered her training by completing a post-doctorate residency program at the Memphis Veterans Administration Medical Center. She has practiced Optometry at the Veterans Administration in Aberdeen, SD before her move to Minot. She later earned her fellowship distinction by the American Academy of Optometry in November 2018. Her extensive training in ocular disease has been a beneficial addition to our practice and will allow us to expand our patient care.
In her spare time, Dr. Unruh’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, gardening, hiking, and kayaking. She states she is happy to be back in North Dakota and to practice in Minot, providing eye care to people of all ages.
